Air pollution is considered the world’s largest environmental health challenge:
* Exposure to poor air quality results in 9 Million premature deaths per year
* 99% of people breathe unsafe air
The problem is that currently, there are not enough air quality sensors on the ground, in any country of the world. Absence of accurate, high-resolution data means that local pollution hotspots cannot be timely detected and mitigated.
The environmental data are sold by PlanetWatch to public organizations and corporations that leverage them for outdoor and indoor venue monitoring solutions.

To the best of our knowledge, no company worldwide is delivering extensive hyperlocal air quality coverage and data analysis comparable to what PlanetWatch aims to provide.
Most market players such (aqicn, breezometer) mostly or totally rely on third-party air quality data.
Others such as as plume mix some data from their own devices together with third-party data. Again, no verifiable hyperlocal dataset is presented.

At this stage, we have already deployed more than 70,000 sensors worldwide and engaged more than 40,000 users.

While the rapid deployment of sensors to build an extensive network was the main focus over the last two years, the focus is now on monetising our data network.

Target audiences include government decision-makers, environmental and health professionals, industry and transport sectors (pollution source managers and workers), healthcare providers, the public and vulnerable populations.
Our business model includes:
- Network access licence (protocol fees)
- Royalties on PlanetWatch-compliant devices (hardware)
- Data streams rewards
We already have contracts with businesses and local governments.

In 2022, we offered pilot programs at a discounted rate or free of charge. This allowed us to test and experience the value of the air quality data without a significant financial investment for clients.
We are now in the phase of identifying clients eager to use our data. To attract them, we are offering customized solutions tailored to their specific needs.

We have recently released the initial version of our API, which will enable automatic real-time retrieval of PlanetWatch datasets to be injected into third-party apps. This tool opens the way to scalable data monetization.
We have also been invited to join the recently created World Economic Forum Crypto Sustainability Coalition.

Several new and very important developments are planned for 2023. We will extensively work on developing advanced data modeling and experimenting with data fusion in order to enable valuable innovative services and maintain a high network availability.
We will attach additional value to PlanetWatch licenses and spread the PlanetWatch brand with our Ambassador program.
