This year, I was really pleased to be included in Webit's Founders Games as a jury member to judge what I would call impact-related Venture Capital opportunities.
It was just so fascinating; all the opportunities were aimed at making money for the investors—a great risk-adjusted return—but also having an impact on one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals.
I came away from it hugely optimistic about the future of our society.
It was a lot of fun too, but the specific submissions and their quality was just awesome.
These entrepreneurs are out there doing things that, to me, seem highly commercially viable, highly attractive to fund, and yet also hit directly at one or more of the SDGs in a very profound way.
It was a great experience; I really enjoyed it and would love to do it again.
